TrippyFriday, June 30, 2006Listening to Johnny Cash - Delia's Gone
This is the best optical illusion I've seen since the last one, make sure you do it fullscreen and get up close to the screen, watch it till the end.

Ani-me?Wednesday, June 28, 2006Listening to Mylo - Drop The Pressure
I think I've found a brand new fascination...
You may have noticed from some of my outfits that I'm into the whole "super girly" thing, styled more like a cartoon than a real girl. I often spend ages trawling the web for inspiration from anime, finding things like this fook mi outfit, and saving pictures like this one. But I always come away feeling a little disappointed that I can never achieve a look like that, I'm not built like a small asian girl!
Then earlier this evening while looking at some of those freaky/amazing masks (If you didn't bother looking through the pics you have to see this one!) I stumbled across something called Animegao, a variant of Kigurumi. There are people out there who have made incredible anime style costumes with masks and full body suits. It never crossed my mind that people would want to do that, or that they could look so good!

There are even some very surreal videos on this site
I'm not sure if it's actually something I'd like to do or not, the masks are expensive, they'll be really uncomfortable and make things like having a drink difficult, but it would be fun to do it for an afternoon at a big pride event or something. I'd better get saving :)

Wouldn't it be greatWednesday, June 28, 2006Listening to Blondie - Union City Blues
For a tranny I really don't like makeup all that much, I've never really gotten into it, it's not that I don't want to look good, I just don't like putting the effort in! I always loved the idea of the makeup machine in The Fifth Element, she just puts it to her face, presses the button, and bang, she's got amazing eye makeup on!I remember years ago looking on sites like transformation and seeing the "girl masks", a great idea in principle but how could a bit of latex stretched over your face ever look convincing? I think the answer is in the fact that the photo on the transformation site is of the box!
Anyway, I stumbled across this site via a totally none tranny blog, some of the masks look pretty good. I couldn't find any pictures of people wearing them on the site but I found this link via the forums. They do all the fake boobs and stuff too.
Maybe one day in the future you'll be able to get a girl suit that totally moulds to your skin, moves with you and lets you feel through it. Perfect for the casual weekend tranny with money to burn :)

I agree that someday, gender illusionists may be able to design their external appearances to order in the form of flesh-like-and-form-shaping suits, much like it is currently possible to make custom-fitted clothes. As a lurking masker with no masks but lots of desire, I long for the day when I can open my closet doors and choose from my "Blonde"

75% of people who have been born are alive todayWednesday, June 28, 2006Listening to The Cure - In Between Days
I've heard that statistic a few times and I always thought what an amazing fact, but could it be true? So I stuck it into google and found this page. Turns out it couldn't be further from the truth, but did you know that the population of the roman empire in 14 A.D. was 45 million? And 84.2% of statistics are made up on the spot.

The days afterMonday, June 26, 2006Listening to The TV
There have been lots of posts over the last few weeks about the "tranny drought" . We were all expecting Sparkle to reverse the wave of discontent, I think it may have already started. I'm sat at home for the first time in a long time in a skirt! Becky seemed to be back into her thing and Siobhan was particularly flouncy. All that's left now is to have a proper girls night out in Liverpool again! Considering I live a stilletos throw away from the "mini village" I really don't have enough presence on the local scene. Time to hook up with the new local girl Jeni.
How many of you sparklers finished off your girl weekend watching the footy? I'm starting to think we may be in with a bit of a chance, none of the other contenders have been that amazing, rooney is getting up to speed pretty quick, and I'm loving the new tactic of putting off the opposing players by having the captain puke up infront of them! See here.

Been out and about
Very sparkleySunday, June 25, 2006Listening to Tom Vek - C-C (You Set the Fire In Me)
Well that was sparkle then! First night out in a long time, needless to say I was a little anxious during the build up, but nothing like I have been in the past. The trick was not to set any targets, then I wouldn't be disappointed with the result, I think it worked pretty well! I had to keep stopping while doing my makeup because I couldn't remember what to do next, I was really please with the result in the end. The gold dress worked a treat and I was getting compliments the second I stepped out the door!
The whole sparkle thing was very good, it was in a much smaller area than last year so had a good vibe. I remember last year it could be a struggle to find any signs of it! Even Sophie had a good time, which is saying something because she usually hates these sorts of things.
I met a few people who knew me from this website, I didn't know them and I didn't chat to many. Sorry if I came across as rude! Feel free to get in touch.

World CupMonday, June 05, 2006Listening to Tiga - (Far From) Home the Speed of Sexor Reprise
Only 4 days to go till the worldcup, I'm not exactly a football fan or anything but there's something kind of exciting about the world cup. (Just as I'm not really into running or jumping a lot but I like to watch the olympics) I think the main problem is that I've not booked a summer holiday so I really don't have much to look forward to and get excited about, so I've really fixed on the world cup this year. Also I drew Germany in the office sweepstake, so there's a few quid in it for me.

If you want to keep track of whats going on (that groups scoring thing is complicated) I've done an excel wallchart, you just put in the results from each match and it automatically fills in who goes to the next round! Download it here 660kb

£3!!!!Sunday, June 04, 2006Listening to Beck - Everybody's Gotta Learn Sometimes
I got my sparkle dress the other day (no pics yet). I don't want to give too much away but I needed some gold shoes to go with it, I've never really been into gold. As we headed out shopping I was joking that I'm going to find some shoes for a fiver, even if I have to go to the market. Well I struck gold! £3!!! It was near closing time so there was no problem trying them on (like it would have been a great loss if I got home and they didn't fit). I did have a little exchange with the woman at the stall though, a long the lines of:
"fancy dress is it?"
"heh, yeah" I laughed
"I hope so" said like she meant it.
Despite the comment I'm considering going back and buying up all her stock, they'll go for way more than £3 on ebay, I'll make that back on the postage alone!
